Amanda Baker will graduate from the Medical College of Wisconsin this spring. She has a Zoology degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She has done research on decompression sickness while at Wisconsin. She enjoys running and many other outdoor activities. Indoors, she plays the piano and is an avid reader. |

Christopher Becker is studying at the University of Washington School of Medicine and has his undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of Washington also. He worked for two years as an engineer developing CO2 lasers before entering medical school. He’s also done research at the Regional Epilepsy Center at Harborview. His diverse interests include flying, fishing, Frisbee, running, tennis and off-road motorcycling. |

Paul Bock has a Masters Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan and is currently finishing medical school there. His undergraduate degree is from Creighton where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He is a prolific AIDS researcher with many publications. He is quite a “renaissance man” in that he is also an actor and dancer. He enjoys rollerblading, cooking, and reading Sci-Fi. |

Mark Danahy will graduate from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in June. He has a History and Psychology Degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Mark has done many research studies with Mark Martel, Jim Miner, and Michelle Biros so he’s well known around the ED. He was a United States Academic All-American Rower while a member of the University of Wisconsin Men’s Varsity Crew. He still gets his strokes in with the Minneapolis Rowing Club, runs, plays basketball, water skis and loves to read history books. |

Andrew Florence has a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke and is finishing his medical studies at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He worked for several years at John Hancock Financial Services before medical school. He’s done research at Duke and recently had a poster presentation at SAEM on alpine and snowboarding injuries. Andrew has many volunteer activities to his credit and enjoys many sports activities. He enjoys photography and is a downhill skier. |

Tracy Hartman is a student at the University of Wisconsin Medical School and has her undergraduate degree from Luther College in Iowa. She is an EMT-B and served as a medic with Ryan Brothers Ambulance. In medical school, she has been a representative to the Wisconsin State Medical Society. Tracy has volunteered and recruited physicians for a free health clinic and participated in an international health exchange in Iceland. She enjoys traveling, soccer, biking, hiking and camping. |

Kimberly Heller will be an AOA graduate from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She has a Chemistry and Molecular Biology degree from University of Michigan and her Master of Science from Northwestern in Biotechnology. Kim has many publications from her years of research in molecular biology. She has donated many hours of volunteer work, many activities supporting the AIDS/HIV community. She enjoys yoga, photography and travel. |

Kyle Kingsley will graduate from the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis School of Medicine in June. He has the distinction of having two undergraduate honor degrees from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, a Summa Cum Laude Degree in German and a Magna Cum Laude Degree in Biochemistry. He is a combat medic and teacher for the Minnesota Army National Guard and thus, is EMT trained. David Ladmer studies at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He has a Biochemistry and Cell Biology Bachelor of Science degree from University of California San Diego and has a Master of Science in Applied Physiology from the Chicago Medical School. He has worked as a researcher at the R.W. Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute and was an EMT in San Diego County. David has been very involved as a medical student with SAEM, ACEP and EMRA through the Iowa Emergency Medicine Interest Group. His interests include traveling in Baja, Mexico and he has trips planned to Costa Rica and Machu Picchu, Peru. He participates in many sports and outdoor activities. |

Lucas Lathrop will be an honors graduate from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He is a Summa Cum Laude Biology graduate from St. Louis University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He has many volunteer activities including experience at a wildlife rescue center. Lucas was a cardiology research assistant while an undergraduate student. He’s an avid walleye fisherman and enjoys skiing, cooking, golf and intramural basketball.

Arleigh Trainor will graduate from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. Her undergraduate studies were completed at UND with a Cum Laude performance in Communication Science. She began her undergraduate studies in Canada. Arleigh has MRI research experience and has had many volunteer experiences. She enjoys reading, playing the piano, and many outdoor activities.
